Stair Runners

One of many ways to give your staircase the wow factor. Runners can be made to your preferred width from standard-width carpet, which can then have a contrast colour border in the same carpet added; be bound in a contrast cotton linen or leather tape; or more simply hemmed under, without an edge binding

Custom Designed Carpets

Be it a woven Wilton, Brussels weave or Axminster carpet, we can create your own bespoke patterned or textured carpet (subject to certain minimums). We start by measuring the site and giving you costings, and once you’re happy to proceed, we then offer a full design service.

Our standard velvet range comes in more than 120 colours, but it can be dyed to your exact shade for no extra charge. This takes approximately 4 weeks, with a minimum quantity of 80sq/m.

Faux Sisal

Intelligent technology makes for an easy-care alternative to traditional sisal that has become ever popular with homeowners, hotels and interior designers, for its practicality and durability

Body & Border

Traditionally a narrow width carpet, used for both stair-runners and for larger rooms, this style is  ideal if you want a bespoke patterned carpet with a contrast carpet border, as it has a smaller minimum order quantity than many custom carpets.

Rugs

Before the concept of fitted wall-to-wall carpets, every home had either lino floors or carpets squares made from narrow-width carpet to cover their floorboards. These squares were mainly for comfort but also added colour and pattern.

Today, custom rugs are often considered artwork for your floor, and are a key part of your interior décor.

Custom Rugs

If you’ve got a design in mind let us bring it to life. Whether you want a luxurious hand-knotted wool or silk rug from Nepal, or a hand-tufted  or hand-carved rug, we offer a full design and manufacturing service for both commercial and residential projects

Bound Rugs

Semi-customise a rug, starting with one of our standard  carpet ranges cut to your size, and then bound in leather, linen, or cotton edge tape.

Alternatively, if you don't wish to see a bound edge, you can have the rug under-bound to stop the edges fraying and seal them.

“When designing bespoke carpets, it is so important that both the designer and client feel safe in the knowledge they will receive a beautifully designed and fitted carpet at the end of what can sometimes be a complex process.

To the untrained eye, this may look easy, but you really do need the expertise of Capitol Carpets of Chelsea to make something look this effortless.”

Cindy Leveson, Interior Designer
